Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2023-02-12T09:50Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
STEREO A: PLASTIC
Activity ID: 2023-02-12T09:50:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Characterized by a gradual increase in magnetic field components with Btotal reaching 13nT. This was preceded by an increase and subsequent decrease in density. Solar wind speed increases after there is an increase in magnetic field components, with speeds increasing from just ~400 km/s to ~500 km/s. It is possible this arrival is not a direct hit given that there is no distinct jump in any of the solar wind parameters.
